This pedalboard-friendly powerhouse boasts six distinct delay programs that range from the essential to the esoteric, with the left encoder knob unlocking powerful sculpting over each program’s Depth, Rate, Shape, Age, Tone, and Spread. On the opposite side, the right encoder knob unlocks Swell, Tap Division, and BPM adjustment. Plus, BPM can also be controlled via the MKII D1’s dedicated tap tempo footswitch. Picky about your delay patches? Over 128 preset slots are at your disposal, with 0-9 divided into easily accessible banks and the rest available via manual selection or MIDI control. Six programs unlock an entire universe of delay effects





Equipped with six distinctive programs, the Walrus Audio MKII D1 accommodates the needs of almost any guitar player ? from the ambient-obsessed to slapback fanatics to vintage-style analog delay adherents.





Digital: This program offers crisp, clean, crystal-clear digital delay ideal for rhythmic guitar sections and well-defined repeats.


Mod: Those after a more spaced-out sound will find much to love in this program. A unique set of modulation LFOs applies to random repeats at multiple rates when this mode is selected for exciting and evolving pitch-modulated repeats.


Vintage: Swap to this program to access a superb tape-style delay with a dark, rich, and moody delay voice with complex filtering applied to the repeats for a more authentic sound.


Dual: True to its name, this program combines two delays in each channel, with both delays featuring different repeat subdivisions. Plus, you get full control over the subdivisions on each channel, and you also have the power to run their channel feedback in series, ping-pong, or parallel.


Reverse: This program delivers reverse delay in all its psychedelic glory, granting you the ability to set your repeats either to fully reversed or in a unique analog reverse feedback system where the repeats alternate between forward and reverse.


Grain: This program opens up a wealth of sonic possibilities, ranging from glitched-out mayhem to smooth, natural delay. Sweetwater’s more adventurous guitarists champion this program for its immense tweakability ? it’s easy to get lost for hours experimenting with its possibilities!


Straightforward screen-based interface





The MKII D1 packs a library’s worth of delays into its pedalboard-friendly enclosure, yet this pedal’s workflow is supremely straightforward and intuitive thanks to the built-in screen and encoder knobs. Once you’ve selected your desired delay, this pedal’s left encoder knob allows you to precisely sculpt an impressive set of parameters: Depth, Rate, Shape, Age, Tone, and Spread. On the other end, the right knob makes it a breeze to dial in your BPM (note the handy BPM indicator in the middle of the screen), Swell, and Tap Division. Lastly, these controls are combined with dedicated Time, Repeats, and Mix knobs that are sure to feel familiar to any guitarist who’s ever tweaked a stompbox.





128 MIDI-switchable presets





With six reverbs and a sweeping set of adjustable parameters, the Walrus Audio MKII D1 is the dictionary definition of a pedal that rewards experimentation ? you’re all but guaranteed to encounter dozens of preset-worthy patches. Thankfully, Walrus Audio engineered the MKII D1 with superb preset capabilities, allowing you to save up to 128 of your favorite sounds for instant recall onstage or in the studio. Tap down on the bottom-left and middle knobs to access your preset bank, with presets 0-9 divided into three banks. Moreover, the rest of your presets can be easily accessed via manual selection or MIDI control.
